Fire-resistant glass is divided into composite fire-resistant glass (cast-injected and composite types; cast-in-place fire-resistant glass has good thermal insulation performance, while composite fire-resistant glass has good fire resistance performance) and monolayer fire-resistant glass.

 

Composite Type
Made of two or more layers of original glass sheets with one or more layers of water-soluble inorganic fire-resistant adhesive interlayer.

Fire-resistant principle: In the event of a fire, the glass facing the fire shatters rapidly upon exposure to high temperatures. The fire-resistant adhesive interlayer subsequently foams and expands approximately ten times its original size, forming a hard, milky-white, foam-like fire-resistant board that effectively blocks flames and isolates high temperatures and harmful gases. Finished products can be edge-ground, drilled, and cut to size.

When used for exterior windows and curtain walls, the design should consider combining fire-resistant glass with PVB laminated glass. Applications: Fire-resistant doors and windows in building rooms, corridors, and passageways, as well as fire-resistant partitions and fire-resistant walls in important areas.

 

Monolayer Type

Monolayer fire-resistant glass is a type of fire-resistant glass with a single-layer glass structure. It maintains fire resistance integrity for a certain period, blocking open flames and toxic or harmful gases from the fire-facing side, but does not provide thermal insulation.

Suitable for exterior curtain walls, exterior windows, skylights, smoke curtains, frameless fire-resistant glass doors, and partition walls without thermal insulation requirements.

 

Injected Type

Constitutes two layers of glass (triple layers are also available for special needs), sealed around the edges with a special flame-retardant strip. The fire-retardant adhesive injected in the middle cures into a transparent gel-like consistency, bonding it to the glass.

Fireproofing Principle: Upon exposure to high temperatures, the transparent gel-like fire-retardant layer in the middle of the glass quickly hardens, forming an opaque fire-resistant and heat-insulating board. This prevents the spread of flames and also prevents heat conduction to the unexposed side. This type of fire-resistant glass not only has fire-resistant and heat-insulating properties but also excellent sound insulation. It can be processed into curved shapes.

Suitable for fire-resistant doors and windows, building atriums, courtyards, shared spaces, and fire-resistant partition walls in computer rooms.
