Laminated IGU

Laminated IGU combines the safety and sound insulation of laminated glass with the thermal performance of insulating glass. It uses three or more glass panes. One side is a laminated structure with PVB or SGP film between two glass layers. This is combined with another glass pane separated by a sealed cavity. The structure provides three functions: safety, sound insulation, and thermal insulation. When impacted, the laminated layer keeps fragments from falling. PVB/SGP film effectively blocks noise. The cavity provides thermal insulation. Applications include sunroom roofs, high-rise windows, airport terminal curtain walls, school windows, and hospital rooms.
