Safety performance of insulated glass

Insulating glass has better thermal insulation properties, resulting in a larger temperature difference between the two sides and reducing cold radiation. When the outdoor temperature is -10℃, the temperature in front of a single-pane window is -2℃, while the temperature in front of an insulated window is 13℃. In the same building structure, when the outdoor temperature is -8℃ and the indoor temperature is 20℃, the cold radiation zone of a 3mm ordinary single-pane window occupies 67.4% of the indoor space, while that of double-pane (3+6+3) glass is 13.4%.
Using insulated glass improves safety performance. With the same thickness of glass panes, the wind pressure resistance of insulated glass is 1.5 times that of ordinary single-pane glass.
