Processability: Tempered glass cannot be cut or processed further. It must be processed to the desired shape before tempering. Although tempered glass is stronger than ordinary glass, it has the potential to spontaneously shatter, while ordinary glass does not.
Tempered glass has an uneven surface (wind marks) and a slight thinning. This thinning is because after the glass is melted and softened by heat, it is rapidly cooled by strong winds, which reduces the gaps between the crystals inside the glass and increases the pressure. Therefore, tempered glass is thinner than before tempering.
